This distributor kit FULLY REPLACES the need for a factory 82-83 280zx Turbo Distributor for running a stand alone ECU. It features the same optical sensor, and is available with both the Z31 style trigger wheel, or a 24-2 trigger wheel for full sequential mode. It also works with the factory slotted N/A oil pump shaft

This crank angle sensor provides crankshaft position, and camshaft position all self contained in one unit. No more unreliable VR signals, no more signal conditioner boards, no more signal noise inherently found in VR style sensors.

Perfect for our Megasquirt 2, Megasquirt 3x, and MS3Pro Mini Plug and Play kits that require a turbo distributor due to the optical crank angle sensor.

Fitment Notes : Has not been tested on a factory turbo ECCS system. Theoretically it will work, especially with the OEM L28ET trigger wheel, however the oil pump shaft may need to be clocked in a certain position in order to satisfy the factory specifications.
